Smelly Bill Stinks Again

Bill the dog and his friends are one of a kind to many dogs because they always smell from looking in the trash . They also never ever have a bath because there is no one that can shove them in the tub, except for one person and her name is ‘Great Aunt Bleach’, she is the only one that can manage to get him in the tub. At the end it took a lot of muscle to get them in the tub but Great Aunt Bleach and her friends shoved them in with a heave and a hive.

Surf Life Saving Trip

It was an amazing start to the day when I heard that we were on our way to MaiRangi bay. We were going to MaiRangi bay to learn and get some tips about swimming and how to stay save in the sun.

As we sat on the bus ready to go, Mrs Nua and Ms M did the roll to see if we were all hear. On our way there we didn't sing? that was the first time that we didn't sing on a bus trip. By the time Kalim and I started a song, we were already there.

As we approached the club house own by the life guards, wondering what's next, we saw all the parents standing around like a pack of wolfs stalking there pray. 'As we all now we need some parents to help us during the day and these kind people volunteered to help', Said Mrs Nua in a relived voice. The parents kindly introduced themselves with there name and we got split up into small groups.

When we entered the club house with a feeling of shock and excitement we saw that three female life guards were already upfront next to the white board ready to get started. They all told us there names, where they were from and where they monitored as a life guard. There names were Rosy, Raquel, Megan and Bayley. We learnt the basics of keeping save in the sun like slip, slop, slap and wrap . These things are really important to remember because you could get sun burn real easily when your at the beach.

After that we got a chance to have morning tea and a little run around for a few minutes. We played a little game of rugby on the sand with some boys.

After the break we got taught also more lessons about sun safety rules and we got asked some questions about what they were saying so they new that we were listening. The thing that I was interested about was the different kinds of waves like the Shore breaker, Spilling wave, Dumping wave and Surging wave. The most dangerous wave is the Shore Breaker because it drags you out to sea then chucks you back to shore then drags you back to sea and so on.

After a huge lesson on waves and keeping save in the sun we got to have a swim. But I didn't swim. Even though I didn't swim I still think that I learnt a lot about sun safety and loads more.

I really enjoyed my time at Mai Rangi bay because when I came out and went inside the bus to go back home I felt that I had a lot of knowledge about keeping save in the sun. I didn't even know that sun block could make a real deferents when you're in the sun, but it does!

Ants

Ants are found practically anywhere on land . They have 6 legs ,feelers and transparent wings. Ants live together in a colony and work as an army to feed and defend their homes. They are also very industrious because they are always running around with a job to do. The Queens job is to lay eggs so that there will be more workers and defenders for there colony. In mid summers to the end of Autumn, swarming males and females go on a nuptial flight. Eventually some of the fertilised females drop to the ground. The males die. The females spread there wings and the survivors search out and establish a new colony.

(Extra Facts)

1. Nuptial means Marriage or weddings.
2. industrious means hard working.
3. A feeler is a long thin part that sticks out from the body it is used for feeling

Technology

Every Thursday the year sevens go to technology at Tamaki College. This term we are going to graphics.

There is a new software called Adope illustrator. These two pictures are what I had drawn well I was on Adope illustrator. This was new to all of us so we knew we had to listen.

The first design shown here is my volcano and a mechanism, how the mechanism works is that the small strip of paper is pushed to the side and it looks like the rock that I attached to it is actually moving.
I really enjoyed my time at Tamaki College and I hope we can go back to graphics.

Gogeta is a cartoon character from Dragon Ball Z. Gogeta is a fusion. Fusion means that two people are combined together to make one person. The two people inside him are named 'Vegeta' and 'Goku' and that's how they got their name 'Gogeta'.

They are super saiyans. When they transform into a super saiyan their hair changes colour also their styles. They have the most funniest hair styles because there hair is spiked up to the very tip. When they become a super saiyan they become even stronger because they train very hard.

Vegeta is the ruffles one out of them and Goku is the calm and stronger one. Vegeta always gets angry when Goku wins because he is jealous.

The signature blast that he does wail fightings his enemies is called 'The Big Bang Kamehameha'. My favourite one is Vegeta because he doesn't care what happens to him and he never gives up even if he's hurt and he knows he's going to lose.

Those of you who have seen the cartoon Dragon Ball Z Ill give it a rating 9/10. What will you give it? You could watch this on Cartoon Network!

Multiple Intelligence

This is one of our tasks with multiple intelligence, which was to make a quiz about the famous mighty teen mariner Jesse Martin.

Eleven years ago Jesse Martin became the youngest ever to sail around the world solo unassisted.

He started from australia headed down past New Zealand and straight to Cape Horn.

When Jesse completed his journey there were more than 25,000 people to welcome Jesse home.

Immersion Assemble

Every term on the first day of school we have an Immersion Assembly . All the staff is involved . The teachers do this so we get an idea of what our topic is .

One of my favourite Immersion Assembly's was ‘active earth’ because most of the people looked hurt like as if a real disaster had happen.

The thing that I like most about Immersion Assembly's are that on the first day our teachers make us laugh and sometimes they make fools of them self's.

I think all the schools should have an Immersion Assembly
because they might inspire other students to learn more about there topic like how it inspired me to.

Wolverine and Saber Tooth are brothers, they are both mutants. They both star in a cartoon called XMen. Saber Tooth is the enemy. When they were younger they both were part of the good team, but as they grew older Saber Tooth began to think that he was better than Wolverine.

Wolverine is the younger brother and Saber Tooth is the older brother. What makes Wolverine different to Saber Tooth is that he has claws coming out of his knuckles and his brother has claws straight from his nails. This usually happens when they are angry. Every time they see each other they want to fight, and they do but Wolverine always comes out on top or someone interrupts them and joins the fight.

One of the strengths that these two brothers have is to heal. They are able to heal themselves when they get hurt.

My favourite is Wolverine.
